Evan Hanson is a middle-class high school student who suffers from extreme Social Anxiety disorder. As part of his treatment, his therapist recommends that he write letters to himself each day. A classmate finds one of his letters and makes a fateful decision, creating a situation for which Evan isn't prepared. A series of deceptions and lies follow that Evan struggles to keep under control. The events that unfold ultimately lead to truth, discovery, and self-awareness.
