The Big Bang Theory centers around Sheldon and Leonard, two socially awkward, but brilliant roommates, plus friends and fellow nerds, Howard and Raj. Penny, the beautiful neighbor and the object of Leonard's desire, is a waitress and an aspiring actress. Many episodes of the comedy deal with Sheldon's numerous idiosyncrasies and controlling nature and Leonard's attempt to impress Penny. Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj are frequently shown eating lunch at Cal Tech, where they all work.
