As an anger management therapist, Charlie Goodson has experience controlling his temper. He was once a major league baseball player that struggled to rise through the minor league ranks. His success stemmed from his therapist's help. Working with Charlie, Kate Wales counseled him into the big time, while helping him in the bedroom. After an angry breakdown that pulled Charlie out of the major baseball league, he became a therapist. Continually working with Kate, Charlie must continue his therapy while counseling others. Group sessions are Charlie's main form of counseling. When these volatile personalities come together, the tension mounts and encourages Charlie's behavior to remain calm. Charlie's ex-wife, Jennifer, completes the dysfunctional household as she visits often with daughter, Sam. With issues of her own, Sam must navigate the teenage years battling OCD, temper-prone Charlie and her mother's penchant for trouble. Tension mounts each week as Jennifer and Kate strive for attention in Charlie's anger-filled world. Between angry therapy patients and Charlie's family, Goodson must find a mental balance to keep the peace and save his sanity at the same time.
