The Truffle Hunters takes place in Piedmont, Italy's deep, picture-perfect forest. A group of older men search for white Alba truffles. The truffle is rare commercially growing it isn't possible; it can only be found with special skills passed down over the years and expertly trained dogs. The men, all in their seventies and eighties, live a simple life, unencumbered by modern technology. Consumer demand for the rare white truffles continues to grow, but the younger generation isn?t willing to carry on the tradition and deforestation threatens their way of life.
