Following her premature birth, Chloe has been homeschooled and had her every need attended to by her mother. A bright young woman confined to a wheelchair and taking handfuls of medication every day, Chloe displays a knack for technology and engineering and dreams of studying at the University of Washington. As she awaits word of her acceptance, Chloe begins to uncover the twisted plot her mother has concocted to keep her hostage and dependent. Desperate for a way to escape, Chloe resorts to dangerous maneuvers to try to escape the clutches of her mother and in the process learns of a secret worse than she could ever have imagined.
