A father and his daughter Sam are facing many major life changes. Sam is getting ready to spread her wings and go away to college, and her dad is facing the unfortunate reality that the record shop he loves so much will be closing. Among all of these changes, the two of them become an unlikely songwriting team. To their amazement, their music starts to get attention, which presents this father and daughter duo with hard decisions as they also learn so much more about each other as well as themselves through the songs they create together.
