King of the Hill is an animated comedy series focusing on the lives of the Hills, a lower middle class family from the town of Arlen, Texas. The primary three characters are the Hills themselves: Hank, Peggy, and Bobby. Hank is a propane salesman who loves his job and is thoroughly rigid about nearly every aspect of his life. Peggy is a substitute teacher who believes herself to be intellectually superior to everyone. Bobby, their son, is a lover of modern popular culture, which frequently causes tension with his traditionalist father. Hank's friends act as primary supporting characters and foils.
