Satan, the Prince of Darkness himself, decides to step down as king of Hell and spend time on earth observing humans. He chooses Los Angeles as his earthly home, where he runs a fancy nightclub disguised as a human man. Over time, he finds himself fascinated by a Los Angeles PD detective, and begins to assist her in solving crimes. Meanwhile, his brother and sister angels, as well as his former servant demons, still have business with Lucifer, whether he wants anything to do with them or not.
