Yakov is a Jewish man who has fallen away from his strict Orthodox community. Now desperate for money, he accepts a job to serve as the traditional vigil watcher over the body of the recently deceased Rubin Litvak. Yakov is offered much higher pay than usual and soon finds out why. It seems the room holding the body of Mr. Litvak is plagued by an ancient demon. As Yakov struggles to keep his vigil, demonic forces torment and inflict frightening psychological games upon his mind. Yakov flees his vigil only to have the demon attach itself to him and follow.
