A Welsh barmaid decides to purchase a mare in the hopes of breeding the next racing champion. She convinces her neighbors to help fund the endeavor after a foal is born, naming him Dream Alliance, a tribute to their combined hope of racing victory. An underdog from the start, the horse manages to surprise his trainers and competition alike, mastering each challenge that comes his way and leading the unlikely group to the ultimate competition, the Welsh Grand National race.
