An ice dragon named Siveth has lived in exile and hiding for a long time. Once upon a time, she failed to save the life of her king and this act resulted in her being forbidden to ever again return to the kingdom. After a country farmer named Lukas loses his entire family to raiders, Siveth finds purpose in her life when she decides to join him and a mercenary named Darius while they seek to gain revenge against the raiders. Although Lukas only wants to stop those who destroyed his life, the three outcasts soon discover that there is more to their journey than revenge.
