High School principal, Jefferson Pierce, lives normal life handling a school after he retired from being the superhero, Black Lightning, due to the effects that it had on his family. However, he runs into trouble when he finds that a gang going by the name, The 100, starts causing large amounts of crime in his community. Jefferson eventually decides to go back to his persona as the Black Lightning as he looks to take down the dangerous gang.
