Dr. Mindy Lahiri is a bit of puzzle to those around her as the compassionate OB/GYN switches between acting like a competent professional and a hopeless romantic at any given time. Coworker Danny Castellano is the most skeptical of Mindy's love struck notions and bubbly attitude, but the brash Staten Island doctor might be the most susceptible to Mindy's charms even though he hates her addiction to pop culture and optimistic nature. Along with a revolving cast of misfits who work in the same office, Mindy and Danny attempt to keep their practice alive while dealing with their feelings for each other.
