The Colony is a futuristic sci-fi thriller that is based on the premise that a devastating second ice age has occurred, forcing everyone to drastically alter the way they live their lives. The movie focuses on the story of three outpost survivors, who must do everything in their power to preserve what is left of humanity and mankind. The three survivors, Sam, Briggs and Mason, are faced with a battle fiercer than they could ever have imagined. It is the year 2045, and the technologically advanced weather machines that humans have built break down, causing them to have to bear the unrelenting cold outside. The snow never ends, and humans must hide in underground bunkers to survive. Sam, Briggs, and Mason get wind of a distress call from Colony 5, and what they see on arrival is more devastating than they could have imagined. Do they have what it takes to fight this new type of beast, or will the last hope for humanity perish in the bitter cold? This is a story about terror, finding hope where there is none, and overcoming all odds to save the day.
