Exhausted and desperate, Marlo (Charlize Theron) is a mother of three, including an infant, who spends her days and nights caring for her children and husband at the expense of her own health. When her brother hires her a night nanny as a gift, Marlo is reluctant to accept the extravagance. However, the nanny, Tully (Mackenzie Davis) proves to be gifted, charming, and often surprising. Marlo soon forms a special bond with the young Tully as they work together through the challenging and rewarding journey of motherhood.
