A young woman rents an home in Detroit in preparation for a job interview. Through a mixup, she finds herself sharing the house with a strange man. Unfortunately, there is a storm and she unable to find other accommodation for the night. Hearing strange sounds at night, Tess, the young woman, goes to wake the man to see what is going on, but nothing comes from the incident. She finds a series of secret tunnels, and the man is killed by a deformed woman. She is eventually captured by a strange woman who wants to act as their mother and kill her "children."
