Two wealthy sisters named Charlotte and Caroline von Lengefeld unexpectedly cross paths with a young German writer and playwright, Friedrich Schiller, his work divisive and daring. The both of them stricken by this poetic young man, the sisters embark on a shared relationship and love with Schiller, committing to an act considered scandalous to the norms of their time.
