This historical drama begins when a 15 year old, Mary Queen of Scots arrives in France as the intended wife of Prince Francis. She arrives with her three closest friends serving as her ladies in waiting in 1557. The show chronicles the treacherous world of the French court in the 16th century and the fortitude necessary to not only survive but to rise to a power position. Mary Queen of Scots is forced to survive in the French court with all its dark intrigue and sexual power games. Dark forces constantly challenge her and people who are determined to see her fail because of her British heritage and birthright. Each episode she is faced with new challenges and betrayals not only from outside forces but betrayal within her circle. What ensue are events that have already happened mixed with the possibilities of what might have really happened inside the decadent French court.
