Michael Ausiello, an Italian-American writer and actor living in New York City, prepares for the death of Kit Cowan, the man he never thought would ever leave him. After 13 magic-filled years together, Michael and Kit have approximately one year to be close to one another, but this will not be an easy journey of discovery for either of them. Based on the eponymous memoir published by Ausiello in 2015, this biographical adaptation provides a poignant view of how difficult it is to care for loved ones who are rapidly losing their minds and their lives to chronic health conditions.
