In the 26th century, humanity is at odds with the Covenant, a coalition of alien races. When a mysterious object falls into the hands of Spartan supersoldier Master Chief, it complicates the conflict as both sides are determined to steal it. The Master Chief and his companions face unexpected changes and discover secrets from the past within his memory, inspiring another Spartan on a journey of self-discovery and a possible link between the artefact and something larger. As a result, the Spartans embark on a suicide mission to locate the Halo and save humanity.
