Jackson Greer, along with his father and older brother, are border patrol vigilantes who own a cattle ranch near the Mexican border. One night when the men go out to make sure that their property is secured, they come across a group of immigrants who are attempting to cross over into the United States. As things between the two groups intensify, Jackson ends up shooting the son of one of the Mexican immigrants by accident. Bothered by his conscience because of his tragic mistake, he later travels to Mexico to find his victim's father, hoping to get forgiveness from him.
