Boy Genius is about a pre-teen child prodigy named Emmett. His older brother, Luke, often gets into trouble. When there is a string of thefts at Luke's school, he is accused and then sent away to a boarding school by the two boys' mother. In an effort to keep his family together, Emmett teams up with his SAT tutor, Mary, to prove his brother's innocence. Together, they investigate the crimes and mysteries going on at Heart High School.
