In Portland, Oregon, Will and his teenage daughter Tom have been living in the forests. The father-daughter pairing has been off the grid for some time. They soon find that the life that they enjoy is turned upside down, as they are forced into social services. Once in their new environment, they are immediately at odds with their surroundings and the new situation. Will and Tom must now undergo a stressful journey to find a way to finally get back to their homeland.
