Two "modern-day" families fight through everyday experiences in America in this provocative comedy. One family consists of the father, mother, one biological child, and three adopted children from Colombia, Liberia, and Vietnam. One of these children begins to see things that others cannot, so they seek-out help. The help they receive comes in the form of a Muslim psychiatrist; the head of a modern, American, Muslim family. These two families are unknowingly connected, as the psychiatrist begins to treat one of the children from the "blended" family. Viewers follow the lives of these two families, as they experience the polarizing effects of American culture today.
