As four astronauts near the end of a simulation that has immersed them in a 400 day mission on a fake planet when things begin to go wrong. The situation then takes a horrific turn when the group loses all contact with the outside world and decide to end the simulation themselves. They soon discover that what they signed up for may have not been a simulation at all, but the real thing and must now find a way to survive and make their way back home.
