Grey's Anatomy is a medical drama focusing on the lives of several interns and residents of the fictional Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, as they are on their way to becoming doctors. Dr. Meredith Grey, the protagonist of the series, is accepted to the residency program at the Seattle Grace Hospital. Each episode contains voice-over narratives from Grey or one of the other main characters, about the overarching theme of the episode. The series focuses on the doctors' everyday lives and puts an emphasis on the personal lives they struggle to maintain. Each series finale contains either a character death or something equally shocking.
