In 1878, Colton Briggs, a gunfighter, was part of a group of vigilantes in the Montana Territory who had been formed to capture and execute the brother of a notorious criminal. Twenty years later, Colton had transformed. Influenced by his wife, he had become a reputable, morally upright businessman who owned a general store and a small farm. He was also raising a twelve-year-old daughter. As the criminal seeks revenge for his brother?s death, Colton?s wife is stabbed dead. Colton has to face the consequences of his past, alongside his daughter, as he goes after his wife?s murderers.
