Resident Alien is a science-fiction/comedy television series based on the comic book series of the same name. It follows an alien who crash-lands on Earth and finds himself stuck in the body of a human doctor. He must now adjust to life on Earth while also trying to complete his mission to wipe out humanity. As he familiarizes himself with human behavior, he starts to realize the value of life and discovers the true meaning of being human. In his new identity, the alien doctor gets himself embroiled in the problems of a small town while trying to keep his true identity a secret. He soon finds himself forming unlikely friendships with the townsfolk as he gets to know them and ultimately he must make the decision of whether he should complete his mission or spare humanity and risk his own freedom. The series follows the alien's journey as he navigates his way through the town while struggling to understand the human race and make the ultimate decision.
