A magical blooming plant gives horrible power to anyone who uses it. When it falls into the wrong hands, people from different cultures and time periods must work together to stop it. Tzod, a high priestess of the Bastal jungle swamp, searches for a way to end the power of the bloom. After traveling far into the cold mountains, she finds its guardian and learns its horrible history in the world. She is told about how it has led to destruction, greed and tyranny during humanity's search for control over the world and understanding of higher knowledge. Tzod must find out if there's any way to use the bloom, even a single petal, to bring balance.
