In Southern Ohio, a young woman finds a ticket to where she will be accepted into college. She is not able to afford to go however and she decides to join a scrap metal team to start working so that she can pay. The young woman spends an entire winter working in the scrap yard and steals metal from factories at night in her work. She wants to have a promising life. Going to college is her way to do this but she will have to leave her family behind when making this tough choice.
