After a lifetime travelling the country together, Nola and her father have settled in to a nomadic, but cozy, routine in their refurbished RV. The long highways are punctuated by odd jobs in quaint roadside towns. In a single life-altering moment, Nola finds herself travelling alone, in search of her mother. En route to New Mexico, a motorhome in disrepair drops the protagonist in a small town where she forms a bond with a mechanic. As they grow closer, she wonders if, in the most unlikely of places, she has finally found her family.
