Mickey Rome wants nothing more than to retire from his work as a protection specialist. The mercenary for hire only has to complete one last job: In a small village in Costa Rica, a couple has gone into hiding after stealing millions of dollars from the mafia. Mickey is hired to protect them from trained assassins, henchman and other killers. Yet, not everything is what it seems. Mickey soon learns things about this couple that make him realize that keeping them safe will be no easy task. He must use his many years of mental and physical training and field experience to save them.
