A successful married sports agent named Darren makes the mistake of having a brief fling with a strange woman who turns out to be a disgraced police detective who plots to get him involved in a murder she has been investigating. She plays a number of psychological games with him to get the results she is seeking, and as she continues to use her manipulation and seduction tactics on him to keep him entangled in her scheme, he has to work hard to come up with ways to get himself out of this nightmare situation so he can try to save his marriage.
