When John Nolan has his life altered by an unexpected incident he decides that it's time for serious life changes. Nolan decides to pursue his dream of becoming a police officer. He succeeds in becoming the oldest rookie the LAPD has ever had, but his journey to a career might be halted before it can even start. The career cops aren't very welcoming to an older rookie that they see as a burden. Nolan will have to prove himself in more ways than one to obtain their respect.
