Based on the popular series of novels, The Passage blends together elements of thriller with a dystopian sci-fi story in which genetically created vampires run amok. The inciting incident takes place at Project Noah, a secret medical where scientists are manipulating a dangerous virus with the intent of curing all the world's diseases. Federal Agent Brad Wolgast is tasked with protecting test subject Amy Bellafonte, but as he grows more protective of the young girl, he comes into conflict with both the powerful new creatures created by the disease and his ethically conflicted bosses who will pursue their interests at any cost.
