J. Allen Hynek believes that we are not alone in the universe. The scientist is approached by the U.S. Air Force to investigate mysterious flying objects and other sightings that begin taking place in the 1950's. For the next 25 years Hynek will devote himself to UFO research while he battles opposition from government authorities and skeptics. His research threatens to expose a cover-up at the highest levels, and it sheds light on the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
