Retired Brazilian music critic Clara lives happily by the ocean in her seaside apartment, Aquarius. She has music, fame and love. One day, a team of developers comes calling; they plan to tear down her apartment complex and build a modern building on its foundations. Determined not to budge, Clara watches as her neighbors sell their flats one by one. However, the shady developers will stop at nothing to get what they want and launch an all-out war on Clara, the lone holdout.
