A Chinese man works on the railroad and leads a fairly unadventurous life until World War II breaks out. Now, his conscience has become enflamed, and he knows that he must do whatever he can to help those who are suffering as a result of this conflict. Gathering all of his courage and ingenuity, he leads a ragtag band of similarly-minded patriots into a battle against the Japanese in order to secure food for the poor. Will they be able to pull off this humanitarian mission, or is it doomed from the start?
