This television series is loosely based upon the Washington Irving tale 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'. The main character is Ichabod Crane, who dispatched the Headless Horseman back in the late 1700's. Crane is mysteriously transported to the year 2013, where he meets the Sleepy Hollow sheriff, Lt. Abigail Mills. Crane and Mills work together to solve mysterious crimes, gradually unveiling a connection between the death of the Headless Horseman and the trials experienced by the town's residents.
