11 year old Toni has always been a tomgirl that cares more about weightlifting and boxing that traditionally feminine activities. When she sees a troupe of women dancing at the rec center she visits, Toni is completely entranced by their grace and athleticism. She decides to join the team and learn how to dance like the women. Though it is hard for her to adjust to the feminine atmosphere, Toni gradually starts to fit in with her team. However, her newfound sense of belonging is shattered when Toni's new dancing friends all begin to suffer from scary fits and dangerous fainting episodes.
