River (2015)

River follows the story of John Lake, an American doctor who is volunteering in the south of Laos. When Lake witnesses a young woman being sexually assaulted there, he steps in to help her. Things take a turn for the worse when the attacker is discovered dead the next day. Lake finds himself a suspect in a murder case and must find his way back to the American embassy in order to escape prison and prove his innocence.
