NBC's Parks and Recreation is an ensemble comedy filmed with a single-camera shooting style. Fictional town Pawnee, Indiana serves as the setting for Leslie Knope's efforts to make the town more inviting. This protagonist is a mid-level bureaucrat keeping company with zany characters who share in her infrastructure goals most of the time. Each with unique quirks, the quirkiest of all comes in the from of Knope's boss, Ron Swanson. Given he is employed by the government, his contradictory anti-government stance proves comedic.
