Three best friends who once enjoyed success in the entertainment industry while living in Los Angeles end up in Ohio after their flight, bound for Paris, makes an emergency landing in Cleveland. The trio of women in their 40s soon discover the city is a far more enjoyable place to be compared to the superficial environment from which they came, and they all decide to lease a home there. In doing so the friends meet the building's Polish caretaker, an elderly Polish woman with a cheeky demeanor who has a few fascinating life stories of her own.
