The Naval Criminal Investigative service gets even more leeway in New Orleans than it does in the flagship series. In New Orleans, there isn't a whole base of agents intent on crime solving; instead there are a handful of people operating out of a building that doubles as home for team leader Dwayne Pride. Pride is someone who genuinely loves New Orleans and can't imagine solving crimes anywhere else. He's supported by his teammate Christopher LaSalle and the medical examiner Dr. Loretta Wade. It's team member and New Orleans newbie Meredith Brody who has difficulty adjusting to the lifestyle.
