The Vampire Diaries television series follows around a group of friends within the town of Mystic Falls. Elena, the main character of the show, and her brother Jeremy, must move on and deal with the death their parents death and many other family members and friends throughout the show. Elena meets the Salvatore brothers, Stefan and Damon, who she ends up forming relationships with. The brothers are vampires who were turned by the evil and seductive Katherine, Elena's doppelganger, in 1864. The Vampire Diaries leaves viewers on the edge of their seats week after week, wondering who Elena will choose, if a major witch coven event will destroy their lives and if loved ones will come back from the dead.
