Charlie Harris is the Chief of Surgery at Hope-Zion Hospital in Toronto. When he falls into a coma, he watches the fight to save his life from out of his body. The hospital is in chaos without him, and he can do nothing to help the remaining doctors. He can only watch as his fiancee and another surgeon at the hospital try to save his life. Alex Reid remains shocked but carries on her duties at the hospital while trying to save the love of her life. Things become complicated, and everyone in the hospital struggles to continue saving lives and hope.
