Tortured by his own genius, artist and visionary Leonardo Da Vinci struggles to live within the constraints of the early Renaissance, but his quest for knowledge nearly destroys him as he pushes the limits of his own sanity. A non-believer and a revolutionary, he begins a mission to expose the lies of religion and the hypocrisy of aristocratic society while still struggling with his feelings of rejection by his own father. However, his good intentions are ultimately used against him by those who despise and fear his awesome intellect and seek to bring him down with it.
