Phil Coulson assembles a team of young superheroes for S.H.I.E.L.D. to fight back in a world full of supervillains in this Marvel universe thriller. The agents have the skills and bravery for the job, but they need to learn how to work together effectively. Coulson leads the team forward while dealing with personal stress, including his own near death experience while working with the Avengers. S.H.I.E.L.D. faces ongoing threats and attacks from mysterious groups like the Rising Tide and HYDRA, who seek to topple governments and wreak havoc globally. At the same time, Coulson and the team must deal with emerging new superpowers and romantic entanglements within the group while staying on top of their game.
