Cougar Town takes place in fictional Gulfhaven, Florida. The series follows quirky main character Jules, a recently divorced mother in her 40s. As she adjusts to her life as a single woman, Jules is forced to juggle her new status along with an ex-husband, their son, and her career in real estate. Over time, and with the help of best friends Ellie and Laurie, Jules recovers from the hardships of divorce and begins dating once again. She learns that life truly does go on as she journeys through times of laughter, grieves in moments of sadness, and ultimately, when she is granted a second chance at true love.
