Parks and Recreation is a comedy show that is centered around a woman named Leslie Knope, who is a councilwoman for a small town located in the middle of Indiana. At the start of the show, Knope was a co-manager of the fictional Pawnee, Indiana's Parks and Recreation department. While in this position, she showed a significant amount of passion for not only her job and department, but for her co-workers, the town as the whole, and local government. The show has followed Knope as she has progressed in her career to win the election to become one of the city's councilman and has also followed her from being a single woman to meeting a man that she has gotten engaged to. The show also follows the hilarious and quirky lives of many of the other Parks and Recreation Department employees, each of whom brings a different level of humor to the show.
